Club News 2016

A bit of club history was made against The Lords Taverners Buccaneers at Cokenach, when Chris Fletcher convinced the skipper that he should have a bowl. Chris’s figures 1 over for 36 runs!!

A magnificent win at Lord’s against the Cross Arrows, who were restricted to 281 – 8 with Ed hedley 5-48 and Dan Williams 2-41. We got off to an awful start 95-5 when Owen Oldroyd returned to the ground to blaze his way to 127 supported by Jeff Davis 47. With just 25 needed Sam Sargant at number 11 joined Joe Eves for the last wicket partnership. Sam 19 not out and Joe 7 not out, took us over the line and the celebrations began!

Acton CC replaced Horlsey & Send and despite 3 players initially going to Horsley, we had a fine win with Sam Sargant taking 4-11 and J P Aubin-Parvu 3-36. James Lawrence carrying his bat (40) when chasing down 146

The Kent Tour see us lose at Provender and Sevenoaks & District whilst winning for the first time at Gore Court.

Our 6th win of the season at Highgate with Gabe Manthorp (81) and Chris Fletcher (71) in an opening stand of 172 setting uo the chase of 230 to win.

Merstham is yet another drawn match with Ollie Gibbs making 58.

Another draw at Worcester Park when chasing 241 and ending just short on 231-7

Our 5th win of the season is against the Musicians Xl (our first win at Stanmore) with Owen Oldroyd making 71 and Roger Barrett taking a fine 3-30

At Ickenham JP Aubin-Parvu takes 3-65 and Chris Fletcher as the match is drawn chasing 276 in a reply of 246-5

Two players hit 50+ at Ickenham. Chris Fletcher 61, Jeff Davis 54 with Paul Geary chipping in with 48. JP Aubin Parvu takes 3-65 in a drawn match.

A great win against Chadwick when Stage were bowled out for 243. Owen Oldroyd hits 146 including 15 sixes. Edd Hedley takes 6-76 bowling out Chadwick for 243.

Taplow was drawn with Owen Oldroyd making 81 and Mike Sadler taking 4-42

We register our first loss of the season at Kew, falling short by 33 runs. Roger Barrett leads chase with a fine 58

Another drawn match against Old Haberdashers with both Jeff Davis and Roger Barrett both taking 4 wickets.

Our unbeaten run continues with a win at Wargrave with Mike Sadler taking 4 for 27 and Jeff Davis 60 not out.

Owen Oldroyd hits yet another ton against Worcester Park in a drawn match.

A victory by 177 runs setting a ground record at Chesham Bois of 353-5 with Tom Stanley getting his maiden century 122* with Jamie Buller taking 3 for 15

Owen Oldroyd hits another unbeaten century as 113* as we hold out for a draw at Winchmore Hill

Sunday 1st May at Watford Town, the match is tied with skipper Owen Oldroyd 122 Not Out.

First match of the season against Montenotte was a victory where we chased down 203 with Chris Fletcher 52 and Jeff Davis 73 Not Out.
